This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated as you use the Service, and information from third-party sources.
Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), and optional phone number.
Profile Information: To help you match with others, we collect your age, gender, relationship goals, bio, interests, lifestyle details, education, career, and ethnicity (all optional).
Photos: Profile photos and verification photos you upload are stored securely in our cloud storage. Verification photos are used only for identity review and are not shown publicly.
Location Data: We collect your approximate location (city, region, country) to show you relevant matches. Precise GPS coordinates may be used temporarily for location verification and are not stored long-term.
Messages: Messages you send via the Service, including pre-messages and match conversations, are stored to provide the messaging feature.
Usage Data: We automatically collect session data, device identifiers, app interactions, and IP address for security, fraud prevention, and analytics purposes.
Payment Information: In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store your payment card details.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Match you with compatible users based on your preferences
- Verify your identity and location
- Send you notifications about matches, messages, and activity
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and abuse

Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in limited circumstances:
With Other Users: Your public profile information (photos, name, age, bio, interests) is visible to other users on the platform. Your email, phone number, and verification photos are never shared.
Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud storage (Replit Object Storage), email delivery (SendGrid), payment processing (RevenueCat / Apple / Google), and analytics. These parties are bound by confidentiality agreements.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or governmental authority.
Business Transfers: If AMOUR is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data Retention
We retain your information as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, photos, and personal data within 30 days. Message history and anonymized interaction logs may be retained for up to 90 days for safety and fraud prevention purposes before permanent deletion.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your profile settings.
- Deletion: Delete your account and associated data from within the app under Settings → Delete Account.
- Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data by contacting support.
- Objection: Object to certain processing activities by contacting us.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. EU/EEA residents may have additional rights under the GDPR. Please contact us to exercise any of these rights.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted storage, secure HTTPS connections, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing
- SendGrid — transactional email delivery
- Replit — cloud infrastructure and storage
